Let’s get it cleared up. Neglect is abuse.
Emotional neglect. Physical Neglect. Spiritual Neglect.
All of it is abuse.
Just because you can’t “see” the pain doesn’t mean that it’s not there of it doesn’t hurt.
Neglect is perhaps one of the most insidious forms of abuse. It can leave you feeling like something is “off” but you can’t pinpoint it. Because it’s invisible.
This blog is here to make it visible. Whatever form of neglect you have experiences, we are here to talk about it and bring it to the surface so you can finally start healing and living your life.
Your life is important. You are important. You matter and are worth every breath you take.
We know you are here because for so long, you can’t figure out what’s wrong. Why is it that you can take care of others but not yourself. When it comes to helping others, you know exactly what to do. But when it comes to helping yourself, suddenly you are frozen.
Don’t worry. I’ts not you. It’s most likely that you experienced some form of neglect while growing up. Times where you felt responsible for the emotions of grown adults who could not control themselves. None of that was your fault. You were just a child. You deserved to have adults in your life who took take care of you.
But now, it’s time. It’s time to be the adult you needed. It’s time to take care of you.
